What it does

Three moves that change how a roadmap feels.

Spatial canvas

Your initiatives as a map, not a list.

Free-form positioning, snap-to-spine, drag anywhere. Linear stays the source of truth; the spatial layer adds the thinking.

Compare mode

Lay 3 initiatives side by side. Drag projects between them.

Stack quarters or workstreams on the same canvas. Move a project to a different lane in one drag — Linear updates instantly.

Reorganize fast

Reorganize a quarter in 30 seconds.

Drag to link, ⌥-drag to unlink, drag back to re-link. The keystrokes a strategist actually needs.

Why it exists

Linear is great for tickets. Weak for roadmaps.

Linear's roadmap view is a list. Lists are good for what you do next — they're hostile to what you choose between. When a PM is picking which initiative ships in Q1 versus Q2, they don't need another table. They need a surface.

RoadCanvas adds that surface on top of Linear's data. Same projects. Same milestones. Same source of truth. Different way of seeing it — spatially, with quarters laid side by side and overload visible before it becomes a problem.

We don't replace Linear. Without Linear, we have no product.

Capacity + health

Catch overload before commitments are made.

Lane labels surface team load — DEV ×8 over a 5-project cap is visible at the lane level, not buried two clicks deep. Project cards carry a health dot (on track / at risk / off track) pulled from Linear, with a rollup on the initiative card so you can spot trouble across the whole roadmap.

Set your team capacity threshold in Settings — the chip turns red when you cross it.

Compare mode

Lay quarters side by side.

Stack up to 4 initiatives on one canvas. Each gets its own spine — same X-axis (time), independent Y-axis (your layout). Drag a project from one lane to another to re-assign it. Linear updates instantly; the position you chose persists.

This is how a strategist actually thinks about a roadmap — by laying options side by side, not by scrolling a list.

How it works

Three steps. No setup, no migration, no new source of truth.

  1. 01

    Sign in with Linear

OAuth — we never see your password. Scoped permissions: read your initiatives, projects, milestones, issues. Write only what you tell us to.

  2. 02

See your initiatives on the canvas

Your existing Linear initiatives appear instantly, projects pre-arranged along their dates. Nothing migrated; we read live.

  3. 03

    Reorganize spatially

Drag, drop, compare. Every position you choose saves automatically. Every status / lead / date you change syncs to Linear in the same second.
